CM asks CPM to make clear stand on liquor policy

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy Wednesday demanded the CPM to make clear their stand on the liquor policy executed by the UDF Government. Briefing reporters after the weekly cabinet meet, the chief minister asked why those blaming the liquor policy not making their stand clear.

The CPM is criticizing UDF’s liquor policy. The policy is not a new thing. The decision was taken after a long thought. However, the CPM opposed it by questioning government’s insincerity. It was also levelled that the dispute between me and the KPCC chief is behind the liquor policy. Why are they not making their stand clear on the liquor policy, asked the chief minister?

The act of JSS leader Rajan Babu to bail SNDP Yogam general secretary Vellappally Natesan out was not right. The act cannot be justified at all. There are certain rules to be followed in public life and politics. Lapses occurred on the side of Rajan Babu. Action will be taken against him after holding discussions with allied parties, he said.
