Rema sends letter seeking CBI probe in T P Murder case

KOZHIKODE: K K Rema, widow of RMP leader T P Chandrasekharan, has sent a letter to the central government seeking a CBI probe in her husband’s murder case. The letter written by her to the ministry of personnel stated that the real accused in the case is walking free and so the CBI should probe the case.  The letter also mentioned that as the state government is not putting enough pressure, the CBI is reluctant to take over the case.

The state had twice sent letters to the center seeking a CBI probe. However, the CBI rejected the plea claiming that the accused in the case has been punished and there are no fresh evidence in taking over the case.

Meantime, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy said that he supported her demand.   Chandy said that if necessary, he would send a letter again for a CBI probe.
