Truth will win: CM on HC stay

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has welcomed the high court stay on Vigilance court order to file an FIR against Chief Minister Ooommen Chandy and Minister Aryadan Muhammed in the solar case. He said the high court order showed that truth would always win.

“There is no need for special relief over the order. Solar scam accused Saritha S Nair is a disgrace to Kerala. Her allegations are part of a conspiracy. But, I shall not reveal the source of the conspiracy. I will say that when the time comes. Those who are making allegations have not been able provide a single document as proof. Allegations against me are baseless. I am ready to face any probe again. I have respect for the law,” said the chief minister.

Regarding minister K Babu’s resignation, Chandy said decision on whether to accept his resignation would be taken after UDF meeting.

The chief minister said he had not back-stabbed any one while responding to INTUC leader R Chandrasekharan’s remark that Chandy’s plight is the time’s reply to those who had betrayed former chief minister K Karunakaran.
