Society skeptical on HC order over solar scam: Pinarayi

PALAKKAD: CPM Politburo member Pinarayi Vijayan has said society has several doubts over the high court’s order staying the Vigilance Court order against Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and Minister Aryadan Muhammed. “But it is not right on our part to say it at this juncture,” he said at a press conference held as part of the party’s Nava Kerala march.

“There is no complaints against Thrissur Vigilance judge but there are several complaints against HC judge Justice P Ubaid. It is not a right thing to make complaints against judges, be it in the name of whatever thing. Any verdict should be the one that upholds the dignity of the high court. The high court has realised the wish of Chandy that there be no inquiry for the next two months,” he said.

The CPM leader said Oommen Chandy’s attempt was to run Solar Company with the partnership of his son Chandy Oommen. He is ready to go any extent to keep his role in the solar deal under wraps.  “The CPM will continue the agitation to bring out the anomalies committed by the chief minister. The protest is nothing but people’s response. If the government plans to crush it down, it will not be allowed,” he said.
