Thrissur Vigilance court judge decides to resign

THRISSUR: Vigilance Court judge S S Vasan, who ordered to file an FIR against Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and minister Aryadan Muhammed, has decided to take voluntary retirement. The decision comes when there is still three more months for him to retire.

Vasan has given an application in this regard to the high court registrar.

The high court judge had made a scathing criticism against Vigilance court judge Vasan. He had said the judge was oblivious of the limits of his powers. His verdict breached all those limits. “I don’t know how one could get along with such kind of judges,” remarked the judge who also asked the high court administrative session to initiate action against Vasan
