KANNUR: The CBI has sent a notice to CPM Kannur district secretary P Jayarajan asking him to appear for interrogation in connection with the murder of BJP activist Kathiroor Manoj. Though the notice directed him to appear today, he informed the CBI through his counsel his inability to appear.
The high court had rejected his anticipatory bail plea. His statement was recorded earlier after calling him to the CBI office.
Manoj was killed on September 1st on his way to Thalassery. The case is that many including Jayarajan had hatched a conspiracy to kill him.
