THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In a quick damage control measure, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said he was not unaware of the appointment of former Minister Sreemathy’s son Sudheer Nambyar as the Managing Director of Kerala State Industrial Enterprise.
“Such an appointment had not come to my notice. Usually a qualified and experienced person is recruited in such posts. This appointment will be looked into,” he said.
The order appointing Sudheer as the MD was issued on Wednesday. CPM State committee meeting held recently had given the nod for this.
But as the appointment triggered controversy, Opposition leaders came out with allegations. BJP called it a naked abuse of power.
