Govt is against toll collection, says Minister Sudhakaran

KOCHI: The government is against toll collection, said Public Works Minister G Sudhakaran. Those collecting toll are behaving like a dictator and a gangster, said the minister while presiding over the function of opening the Palarivattom flyover to the public.

The government is taking immediate steps for the development of the national highway, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said opening the bridge. After the inauguration of the bridge, the chief minister toured in an open jeep. K V Thomas MP, MLAs S Sarma, K J Maxi, John Fernandes, M Swaraj, Veena George, Antony John, V K Ibrahim Kunju and many others attended the function.

The project is estimated at Rs 72.6 crore including construction and land acquisition. The total length of the flyover is 632 metre at a width of 17 metre.
