Court orders to probe death of Abbas Sait

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Thiruvananthapuram Principal Sessions Court Tuesday ordered to probe the death of Abbas Sait, former private secretary to Industries Minister P K Kunhalikutty.

Advocate Salahudeen filed a plea earlier on the mysterious death of Sait. The sessions court cancelled the magistrate court’s order dismissing the plea. Notices were served on Minister of State for External Affairs E Ahmed, P K Kunhalikutty and Abdul Rasheed, former official of the Malappuram Passport Office, in connection with the case.

Abbas Sait died on February 5 at a time when he was to be quizzed in the human trafficking case. Sait died after collapsing in the railway station.
