What is the relation between Abhilash and Thiruvanchoor? asks PC George

KOTTAYAM: The relation between Karunagapalli native and Gujarat delegate Abhilash Murali and Home Minister Thiruvanchoor should be brought to light, said Government Chief Whip P C George at a press conference on Tuesday. He also alleged that Abhilash had some connection with solar case.

George said there was nothing wrong in Chief Minister Oommen Chandy holding discussions with Gujarat delegates. “But, what was Thiruvanchoor doing there and why did he have lunch with the delegates?,” he quipped, adding that the government should probe the property details of Abhilash.

“There is nothing wrong with Modi. I am not scared of him. I have done nothing wrong in waving a T-shirt which had Modi’s picture on it. A merchant had come to me with the T-shirt and asked me to accept the first sale, that’s all ” he explained. He added that he had not participated in the ‘Run for Unity’ with any political motive. “If BJP organise any public function again I may take part in it.”

Taking a dig at the Congress and his critics he said “people who come to correct him should first correct themselves”. He said Congress had parochial manner of criticism and told the party to reform itself first.

Showering praise on Oommen Chandy, he said Chennithala should join the group of cabinet ministers. He also said if he were a minister in the UDF, he would have quit long before.
