BJP activist hacked in Kannur

 
CHAKKARAKKAL:  There is no stopover in the violent incidents that started last evening at Pallipoyil in the district. A BJP activist identified as Udaya Kumar (40) sustained hack injuries last night.

When Udaya Kumar, a bus driver, was operating service with the last trip, a gang wearing a mask stopped the vehicle, dragged him down and then hacked him. He received injuries on his head and chest.

Udaya Kumar admitted at the Ancharakkandy Medical College Hospital was shifted to a private hospital in Kozhikode. CPM activists are behind the violent attacks, alleged the BJP.

Bombs were earlier hurled at CPM activists Shamesh (24) and O K Rajesh (30). Shamesh sustained serious injuries on his left leg in the explosion.
