KOCHI: The Petronet LNG Limited at Puthuvype here, which was launched by the Prime minister on Januray 4 with much fanfare and with an investment of Rs 4200 crore may become a liability for the government.
If nothing extraordinary happens the functioning of the terminal will come to a standstill in a month’s time. The reason: Companies in Kerala are unwilling to buy the natural gas, after paying a very high price. The costly gas is being imported from abroad for sale in India.
