UDF meet postponed, talks to solve CMP dispute to continue

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy will hold talks with the two warring sections of the CMP on February 2 as part of solving the problems in the party. The UDF meet scheduled for January 30 has been postponed in order to give more time for talks and to convene the meeting with everyone.

The UDF had informed the CMP that they will be retained only if the problems are solved. Following that, the K R Aravindakshan and CP John factions have temporarily stopped group meetings and conventions.

These two usually represent the party in UDF meetings.
