Molestation attempt: Over 50 non- Keralites in custody


ALUVA: Police have taken into custody about 50 persons in connection with a molestation incident at Aluva railway station. The persons in police custody include people from other states.

The case is that an Odiya woman, his husband Sunil and sister Daimanthi were standing at the railway station at 11 pm on Friday to board a train in the next morning. They were waiting next to the Taxi stand at the railway station.

Two persons who came in a white car pretended themselves to be police officers and took their ID cards from the three. Then they asked the latter to follow them to the police station. When all of them reached an end of the second platform, one of the two strangers tired to molest Odiya woman. Sunil and Daimanthi, who tried to protect the woman was attacked by the second man.

In the milieu, Daimanthi slipped off and informed the Railway Protection Froce. But before they came to their rescue, the two men escaped from the scene in their car
