Court to pronounce punishment in TP murder case tomorrow


KOZHIKODE: The Special Additional Sessions Court will pronounce the quantum of punishment in the sensational Revolutionary Marxist Party leader T P Chandrasekheran murder case here tomorrow.

Judge R Narayana Pisharody had convicted 12 persons, including seven key suspects and three leaders of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) after finding them guilty in the May 4, 2012 case.

The court also set free 24 others, including party Kozhikode district secretariat member P Mohanan and Kuthuparamba area committee secretary K Dhananjayan for lack of evidence.

Rebel leader Chandrasekharan was hacked to death by Innova car borne assailants at Vallikkad near Vatakara in the district while he was returning home on his motor bike.
