Man kills wife, tries to burn body

KOTTARAKKARA: In a shocking incident, a man killed his second wife by hitting her on the head with a stone. He committed the crime after she refused to give him money. He was later handed over to the police by the residents when he tried to burn the body in the kitchen. The dead has been identified as Vimala (26), wife of Shashi (33).

The macabre incident happened at 8 pm last night. He divorced his first wife and married Vimala. As part of divorce settlement, the court directed him to provide maintenance for his two children.  When Vimala refused to give him money for that, he killed her.
