KOCHI: City Police Commissioner K J James has asked Ernakulam North CI to file a case on the incident in which Vijitha, a woman from Kochi, committed suicide after she was allegedly insulted through Facebook comments.
Case will be based on the police complaint lodged by Vijitha’s husband earlier.
The Commissioner has also asked Cheranallur police to register a case against Thottappali native Ratheesh, if necessary.
Ratheesh had allegedly insulted the woman through Facebook and SMSes, following which the lady hanged herself to death.
