75 kilo ganja seized in Idukki

THODUPUZHA: In a major haul, 75 kilos of ganja were seized from a plot owned by Shaji at Chembakappara near Shanthanpara. The ganja was seized when a raid was conducted by the excise narcotic enforcement squad following secret information.

The ganja was stuffed in a gunny bag and buried underground and some grass were strewn on top of that so that no one would recognize it. Police have intensified search to trace Shaji, who fled from the place.

90 kilos of ganja were seized from Nedukandam on Sunday.
