Aadhaar should not be mandatory, says Kunhalikutty

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Aadhaar should not be made mandatory for availing benefits under various schemes, Minister P K Kunhalikutty informed the assembly on Thursday. It is suspected the government shifted from their earlier stand fearing a setback in the polls.

The Supreme Court will consider a case on the matter.  The stand of the government will be informed to the court, he said.
