Tharoor should either resign or be sacked: CPM

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM State Secretariat has demanded the resignation of Union Minister Shashi Tharoor to “facilitate a fair and impartial probe into the death of his wife Sunanda Pushkar under dubious circumstances.”

If he is not ready to put in his papers, he should be sacked, the party observed.

“Instead of registering a case against the minister and questioning him under police custody, the government has been trying to carryout a probe to help him. When Tharoor continues as minister, the probe conducted by Delhi police will turn out to be  farce, pointed out the party, which also criticised the Congress party for making Tharoor one of the  spokespersons of the party.
