Jazeera withdraws strike, heads to Chittilappilly’s house

NEW DDELHI: Jazeera of Kannur, who was protesting against sand mafia for the past 116 days in the national capital, has withdrawn her strike. She decided to withdraw her strike after the chief minister assured to take steps against the sand mafia.

Meantime, she said that she has decided to contest polls against A P Abdullahkutty MLA, who wrote an article against her. Abdullahkutty along with the police are supporting the sand mafia, she alleged.

Jazeera said she will be going straight to industrialist Kochouseph Chittilappilly’s house. She said that she has not refused the reward of Rs 5 lakhs announced by him. I just said that I will not accept the money along with Sandhya Suresh, who voiced her protest against the LDF agitation.
I didn’t protest for money. He announced the reward publicly and if the money is not given, then he should announce it openly. Otherwise, I’ll stage a hunger strike in front of his house, she told media.

Meantime, Chittilappilly said that he never told the money will not be given. I’m ready to deposit the money in her children’s bank account, he said.
