KANNUR: CPM State Secretary Pinarayi Vijayan has said that what CPI State Secretary Pannyan Raveendran stated on Thursday might have been with reference to the number of seats the CPI contested during the last Lok Sabha election.
Pinarayi was reacting to the statements made by Pannyan that the candidates for Thiruvananthapuram, Mavelikkara, Thrissur and Wayanad Lok Sabha seats would be named next month.
He said no decision had yet been taken regarding the seat-sharing or who would contest from where. All that would be discussed by the LDF soon.
Pinarayi added that CMP leaders A R Aravindakshan and CP John had met him and suggested that he be not made a party in the rivalry between them.
