No decision yet on contesting in Kerala: AAP


KOCHI: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Kerala Tuesday made it clear that the party had not yet decided to contest in the ensuing Lok Sabha elections.

At a news conference here, AAP spokesman K P Ratheesh said media reports were contrary to facts and the party had not approached any political party in this regard.

Stating that AAP had no special consideration for or hatred against other political parties, Ratheesh said his party was opposition the ideologies of these parties.

Regarding media reports that leaders of many local political parties had held talks with the AAP and expressed their willingness to work with it, he reiterated that no such talks were held. The AAP had not approached any political party in this regard.

He, however, said a final decision whether the party will contest would be taken by February 15.

He said his party was ready to co-operate with all political parties whether small or big, to fight for social issues.

He claimed that after opening its membership campaign, over 37,000 people, including some prominent personalities, had become members.
