KOCHI: MG Varsity Registrar, who was expelled by the Syndicate, has been asked by the high court to resume duty. The court also said the syndicate had bypassed its orders while expelling Unni.
The court gave the orders on Monday while considering Unni’s plea questioning the Syndicate’s action against him.
The court observed that the varsity’s action was a challenge to country’s legal system. Even though the court had issued orders favouring Unni, the syndicate had proceeded with suspension procedures. This was a serious matter of concern for the court, it stated.
Unni was suspended following the University sub-committee’s finding that he had tampered with his experience certificate. He was asked to stay away from official duties until the probe was complete. As Unni was not ready to accept this condition, he was suspended.
