THODUPUZHA: Unidentified goons attacked the house of CPM local committee secretary M P Shaukath, father of actor Asif Ali. The attack took place at 1 am early Tuesday morning. The window panes of the house were shattered. The car parked in the car porch were also damaged.
Shaukath Ali is also Thodupuzha former municipal chairman. A minor clash broke out yesterday between the CPM and the Muslim League in connection with housing construction project in the area. Following that, a protest meet was held by the Muslim League in the evening.
Following Shaukath Ali’s complaint, police reached the spot. Finger print experts too conducted an examination. The Muslim League is behind the incident, the CPM alleged.
