Row over Rs 5: Man kills friend

MALAPPURAM: Bihar native Mukesh Paswan was allegedly killed by his friend and Bihar Chemparam native Jitendra after a quarrel over Rs 5.

The incident happened in Thiroor four days ago.

Jitendra was arrested by police on Thursday after the postmortem report revealed that it was murder.

According to police both were migrant labourers who came to Kerala together. They used to buy things and later share the  expense. The row began after Paswan bought cigarettes and he didn't give Rs 5 for the cigarettes. In a fit of rage Jitendra stabbed Mukesh with a knife. He collapsed and died though he was shifted to hospital.

Doctors said internal bleeding caused the sudden death.
