PALAKKAD: In a raid conducted by Vigilance in Anchumoorthy Mangalam Excise inspection centre, unaccounted money to the tune of Rs 4500 was seized. The raid was conducted by a team led by DySP M Sukumaran.
The Vigilance officials informed that the money could be the bribe paid by truck drivers from Palakkad to Excise staff for allowing them to cross the check-posts at Ernakulam and Alappuzha.
