KOTTAYAM: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has been admitted to the Kottayam Medical College Hospital following low blood pressure. A doctors’ team led by hospital superintendent examined him.
All programmes of the chief minister have been postponed. The chief minister who started for the capital city had to stay at Kottayam TB last evening due to uneasiness. He was taken to the hospital Monday morning after he was found weak.
The doctors did not permit him to travel to Alappuzha after examination. He will be subjected to more tests as he complained of stomach ache also.
Chandy was scheduled to participate in the party programme to be attended by Rahul Gandhi. Hospital superintendent T G Thomas said the health condition of the chief minister is satisfactory and he has been admitted in the hospital to conduct more tests.
Oommen Chandy was taken to the hospital by Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan.
