Engg student dies in accident

KOLLAM: An engineering student was killed when his car overturned after hitting a divider on the national highway at Madannada in the district. Others in the car escaped without any injuries.

The dead has been identified as Ajay Henry (23), son of Henry of Pattathanam. The accident happened last night in front of the MTM Hospital in Madannada.

The incident happened when Ajay was proceeding to Kollam from the capital city with his four friends. The car overturned after hitting a divider. Even though he was taken to the hospital, his life could not be saved.

There is no facility to recognize the divider during night time in the place where many vehicles pass by. The dividers can be seen only when the vehicles come closer.
