From housewives to VIPs, many go for ‘broom’
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Aam Admi Party’s Delhi victory has had its impact on Kerala also. From housewives to college students, layman to VIPs, all seem to be showing a special interest in the party. Many are queuing up to join the party. About half lakh people have already joined the party in a few days’ time since the distribution of the membership began.
V S Achuthanandan’s former personal staff member K M Shajahan, former AG James K Joseph, IMA former state general secretary Dr Suresh Kumar, Ex-director of Medical Education Dr K A Kumar, former TRIDA chairman S Suseelan, CDS professor (rtd) Dr Pushpangadhan, Retired Women’s College professor (rtd) Dr M Kabeer, Scientist L Thankamma are the persons who have come forward to join the AAP. Adivasi leaders C K Janu and Geethandandan will also chip in. According to an estimate, till January, 36000 have enrolled themselves with the party through online www.aapkerala.org/join. The membership will be free till January 26.
