KOCHI: Actor Bala and singer Amritha Suresh are getting divorced. Both appeared before the family court in Ernakulam Thursday for the counselling prior to the divorce. Both had approached the court five months back and had filed a plea on mutual consent seeking divorce.
The two appeared in the court in separate cars and went straight into the court. Bala had filed an additional plea seeking permission to meet his daughter. The court had granted permission for it.
The two met at a music reality show, fell in love and got married in 2010. Four-year-old Avantika is the couple’s only daughter. There were news earlier that there are problems in the couple’s lives. However, Amritha had posted in the Facebook that everything was fine.
