THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP State leadership has come out to reject State general Secretary K Surendran’s opinion over the entry of women devotees in Sabarimala. Party spokesperson J R Padmakumar said, “Surendran’s Facebook post on the issue is his personal opinion. BJP’s stand is what it officially states.”
Padmakumar said, the tantris, devotees and Devaswom board would together decide on women’s entry in Sabarimala. “If Surendran’s opinion is worth discussing within the party, it will be discussed,” he added.
“Menstruation is nature’s law. The phenomenon which sustains life should be seen as holy thing. The Hindu leadership should accept changes,” Surendran had demanded through his Fb post.
