Pinarayi says he's unaware of Vigilance raids

NEW DELHI:  Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said on Saturday that he had come to know about Vigilance raid in former minister K Babu’s house only through the news media. “The raids might have been conducted as part of Vigilance cases against him. When it is necessary, Vigilance can conduct raids on their own and they need not wait for the chief minister’s permission…,” he said.

Referring to the case against former minister K M Mani, Pinarayi said the government would not make any personal attack against any person. “The law will take its own course,” he said, adding that there was no substance in K M Mani’s allegations against Vigilance Director.
