THIRUVANATHAPURAM: CPM State secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan has said any attempt by the RSS to conduct weapon training on temple premises will be blocked. CPM’s red volunteers would prevent RSS from starting ‘shakhas’ at temples.
“The CPM like RSS should also be able to conduct training programmes. If RSS continues their shakhas at temples, CPM’s red volunteers will also conduct training programmes there. Nobody will be able to stop that,” Kodiyeri said.
Kodiyeri was inaugurating the conference organised to welcome leaders including former BJP State secretary A G Unnikrishnan to the CPM.
Kodiyeri appealed to the devotees not to allow any political party to bring temples under their control. “If devotees don’t come out to block shakhas, red volunteers will intervene. If RSS enters temple, ISIS will enter mosques. BJP’s wrath against Devaswom board minister was to protect the RSS,” he added.
