Man and his 'rescuers' rescued from well

ATTINGAL: A man who jumped into a well and two youths who tried to rescue him were rescued by Fire force personnel on Thursday night.   

The incident occurred at Arattukadavil in Gramathumukku here and the 23-year-old man who jumped into the well has been identified as Vishnu.

Praveen and Shibin who reached the spot, hearing a commotion, climbed down the 40-feet well to reach Vishnu. But both were unable to climb back with Vishnu. Soon the locals informed the Attingal fire force, who them all out without any casualty.

Vishnu’s was a love marriage and he married just four moths ago. He was staying in his wife’s house. Some days ago, his father came to the house and took back Vishnu. On Thursday, Vishnu returned to take his wife along with him but his father-in-law denied his request. Following this, Vishnu jumped into the well, out of dejection, the police have said.
