Cinematographer Anandakuttan dies

KOCHI: Noted cinematographer Anandakuttan died here Sunday. He was 62. Anandakuttan was undergoing treatment for cancer for quite some time. Cremation will take place later. He leaves behind his wife Geetha and children Sreekumar, Neelima and Karthika.

Anandakuttan entered the film field through P Chandrakumar’s Manassor Mayil in 1977. He has wielded camera for almost 150 films including His Highness Abdullah, Bharatham, Aniyathipravu, Atharvam, No 20 Madras Mail, Aakashadhooth, Manivathurile Aayiram Sivarathrikal.

He was born to Ramakrishnan Nair and Karthiyaniamma in 1954. His school education was in Changanassery NSS School. After his pre-degree, he went to Chennai to learn cinematography.
