Cocaine case: Accused brought to Kochi

KOCHI: The investigation into the cocaine seizure case in Kochi achieved a major breakthrough with the special investigation team arresting two more persons in Chennai.

The two arrested in Chennai by the investigating team have been brought to Kochi early Tuesday morning. Prithviraj (25) of Chennai and Jasbir Singh (28) of Punjab were taken into custody from Anna Nagar in Chennai on Sunday. The Kerala Police obtained a transit warrant of the two produced in the Chennai Court. The details of the two were obtained from the Nigerian Okowe alias Franco, who is in custody, when questioned.

The two will be produced before the Ernakulam Principal Sessions Court. The two had allegedly helped the first two accused Reshma Rengaswamy and Blessy Silvester to engage in cocaine trade. Reshma and Blessy had been maintaining close links with them and it was with their help that they had obtained cocaine from Okowe.
