ALAPPUZHA: Kerala Speaker N Shakthan has said that he had not functioned unilaterally with regards to the March 13 mayhem in the Assembly. “What happened in the Assembly had hurt me,” he told media persons after holding talks with SNDP General Secretary Vellapally Natesan in Alappuzha on Wednesday.
The Speaker said he would not talk anything more about what had happened in the Assembly. “If I say anything it will be interpreted as comments favouring the ruling Front and disfavouring the Opposition. “As a Speaker I have nothing to say about my duties,” he said, while he din’t respond to questions on alleged attack on women LDF MLAs.
He also didn’t reveal anything about what transpired between him and Vellapally in their meeting.
