Ganesh Kumar seeks probe into Ibrahim Kunju’s assets

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: K B Ganesh Kumar MLA Monday sought an inquiry on the alleged unaccounted wealth of Minister V K Ibrahim Kunju. Ganesh wondered how the minister, who was just a gardener in 1983, earned such huge assets. He later chose politics as his career. It should be probed how he amassed so much wealth. He gave a statement against the minister when he appeared before the Lok Ayuktha on the allegations of corruption against the public works department.

The rise in his assets worth crores when neither of his kin is abroad is suspicious. He got emotional in the court when said the evidence has the price of his self-confidence and life.

Corruption was ntoiced in the deal given to a construction company in connection with the construction of a road in Wayanad. The deal for Rs 2297 per metre was given for Rs 6060 and by that corruption worth Rs 10 crores took place. A probe should be conducted against Najimudeen, Rafi and Abdul Rahim, personal staff members of the minister as per the income tax act.

Shocking proofs handed over
Talking to reporters later, Ganesh said some solid evidence was handed over to the court and they were very much convinced on that. I’ll hand over those to the media also. The evidence will shock everybody. My honour and life would be in danger if the proofs are handed over but still I don’t need police protection. The state has changed into a dwelling place of corruption. My fight against corruption will continue, he said.
