We were attacked, says Jameela Prakasam

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Jameela Prakasam, MLA on Tuesday came out with some serious allegations against  K Sivadasan Nair, MLA. Pointing out the photographs of the tussle that took place in the Assembly on Friday, she said Sivadasan who was standing far away had elbowed his way through the crowd of MLAs to reach near her. He then physically attacked her. .

She along with other Left women MLAs was taking part in the press conference at Opposition leader V S Achuthanand’s house . “The Assembly then was not  the sanctum sanctorum of democracy but a wax house where women’s dignity was charred,” she alleged.

“Sivadasan first hit me with his hand and then with his leg. You can see where his and legs are. He caught hold of my hand and when I shouted that I shall bite him, he said he didn’t mind about it,” explained  Jameela, showing the photos.

“We had no plans to block the chief minister and we had stood up to block Mani. It was at this instance that a combined attack was unleashed against us. In the first unexpected attack , Biji Mol had shouted  and even the chief minister turned back and looked at her side but he sat without any reaction. Biji Mol had to face a combined attack and Geetha Gopi was pushed down to the floor ,” she explained, adding that she had complained the matter to the Oppsition leader and Speaker then itself.
