Film artistes resent Unnithan’s appointment as KSFDC Chairman

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Those working in the cinema field have expressed their resentment over the appointment of Rajmohan Unnithan as the chairman of Kerala Film development Corporation.  According to reports actors like Manian Pilla Raju, Siddique and director Shaji Kailas are getting ready to quit their current posts in the corporation. They said they are not ready to accept Unnithan as the chairman.

Maniyan Pillai Raju said they are opposing Rajmohan as he has intentions to mix politics and cinema. “More people will come forward to resign in the coming days. KPCC spokesperson Rajmohan was appointed chairman after Sabu Cheriyan stepped down from that post. It was Sabu who had helped the corporation wriggle out of its financial crisis. Though other members had requested the government to extend Sabu’s tenure, the government didn’t accept it.”
