KOLLAM: A laptop and an amplifier were stolen from the computer lab of Vallikkeezhu Government Higher Secondary School recently. However, the police were able to pick up the robber but they said the arrest was not registered as they needed time to collect evidence and recover the stolen items.
The theft happened on March 21 and the robber had managed to break open the door lock to enter the lab. Interestingly the theft came to the notice of the school authorities only two days after the incident.
Anyhow, the school authorities have informed the police that the stolen computer and amplifier were old and obsolete. But the police have got the information that the robber was behind many other thefts that took place in nearby areas. On the basis of the information they have started their inquiry in Shankthikulangara.
