Udayabhanu appointed public prosecutor in Chandrabose murder case

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The government Tuesday issued an order appointing advocate C P Udayabhanu as the special public prosecutor in the case of Chandrabose, the security guard killed by controversial businessman Muhammed Nisham.

The government decided to appoint him as the public prosecutor following the request of Chandrabose’ relatives. The same person is appearing for Biju Ramesh in the high court in the bar scam allegations against Finance Minister K M Mani.

Kerala Kaumudi had reported that Mani faction had started moves against the appointment of Udayabhanu as the public prosecutor. Udayabhanu had told Kerala Kaumudi earlier that slapping KAAPA on him will not exist. Move to exempt him started pointing out this.

KAAPA should be charged when a person turns a threat to the society. How a person in jail be a threat to the society, asked the KAAPA Board and the High Court and later cancelled the procedures slapping KAAPA. He expressed the concern that KAAPA does not exist and the move to exempt him started after mistaking it to be a statement against the government.
