Moral police attacks KSRTC employees


KASARGOD:  In yet another incident of moral policing, KSRTC employees were attacked by group of people at Bandiyadukka in the district. Two employees of the Kasargod depot were assaulted brutally. The incident came to light after the clippings of the assault were loaded in WhatsApp. The police has started investigation.

The incident happened on November 15. They were attacked after inviting them for a feast. They were first given liquor and then a gang including women demanded money from them. However, when they refused to give money, they were assaulted in the name of immoral traffic. They were beaten up with slippers and brooms. Some of the local residents took the pictures in their mobile phones.

On the next day of the incident, a woman from the gang lodged a complaint against the employees at the Bandiyadukka police station and KSRTC district office. It was mentioned that the case was settled after giving Rs one lakh. The woman later withdrew the complaint. The police stopped the investigation as the case was withdrawn.
