KOCHI: The Ernakulam Chief Judicial Magistrate Court (CJM) ordered to produce Lashkar-e-Toiba operative Thadiyantavide Nazeer in connection with a case regarding attempts to influence the witnesses in the Bangalore blast case. The court has issued production warrant to produce Nazeer. He is currently lodged in Bangalore jail in the Bangalore blasts and Kalamassery bus torching cases.
The police had recently arrested his aide Shahanaz of Perumbavoor. The police said investigations revealed that Shahnas had conspired to influence the witnesses in the blast case by threatening and luring them and attempted to destroy evidence as per the instruction of Nazeer. The letters sent by Nazeer were recovered from Shahanaz. He had visited Nazeer in jail eight times in the past one year.
