VS demands CBI probe

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader V S Achuthanandan has sought a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the recruitment racket linked to Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala’s office. In a statement here on Wednesday, VS said it was difficult to swallow the police version that 24-year-old Saranya, the alleged racketeer, had used seals of the Home Minister’s office, the Police Headquarters and the Public Service Commission (PSC) to collect crores of rupees from several persons promising jobs in the Police Department.
