KOZHIKODE: CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan said the party should be allowed to choose their candidates. The candidature of opposition leader V S Achuthanandan will be decided during the time of assembly polls, Kodiyeri told media while reacting to CPI state secretary Kanam Rajendran’s statement that VS should lead the polls.
Facing the polls after deciding the chief ministerial candidate is not the manner of the CPM. The CPM will decide the chief minister after the polls. In reply to a question, he said the doors are still opened for the Janata Dal (U).
RSS is behind the Samathwa Munnetta Yatra led by SNDP Yogam general secretary Vellappally Natesan. Through this Yatra, the RSS is aiming communal campaigning. The RSS is trying to propagate communal violence, he said.
