Oppn uproar in assembly
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Assembly Tuesday witnessed uproar with opposition members demanding the resignation of Excise Minister K Babu in the bar case. The opposition reached the assembly with placards and banners during the question hour. In the midst of shouting slogans, the comments of some members of the ruling front provoked the opposition. They soon trooped to the well of the house for the derogatory comments made by the ruling front. The opposition protested demanding the apology of them. However, Speaker N Shakthan said such statements will not be seen in assembly procedures and cannot comment on the things which do not have any proof. He requested the opposition to cooperate with the assembly procedures. They withdrew after protesting for ten minutes and the question hour resumed after that.
