Endosulfan victims get bank’s legal notice for attachment of property

KASARGOD: Endosulfan victims again get Banks’ legal notice to attach their property. This has come regardless of the high court order suspending bank’s all legal procedures to attach their properties.

The high court’s order came at a time when the government declared its debt-relief scheme. The bank had given notice to as many as 60 Endosulfan victims. The legal notices were sent by Kerala Grameen Bank and Belloor Cooperative Bank.

Opposition leader V S Achuthandan has said the banks’ action was inhumane and tantamount to contempt of court. KPCC president V M Sudheeran also said that the bank’s action could not be justified. He demanded that the chief minister intervene in the issue.
