THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: K Muraleedharan MLA has said the government should discuss and decide on whether to hand over the bar bribery case to the CBI or not. He was responding to Kerala High Court remarks in connection with the bar bribery case.
“CBI has shortcomings. The Central Agency doesn’t have the credibility it used to enjoy before. It also comes under political pressure. The government will decide on whether the Vigilance should take up the case or the CBI,” Muraleedharan said.
When asked about allegations against Minister Babu in the bar bribery case, Muraleedharna said the investigation was going on and he would not comment about it then. “Commenting on a case which is under investigation will influence the investigation,” he added.
